BELLAIRE, Ohio — The National Imperial Glass Collectors Society is holding its 50th Anniversary Golden Convention in Belmont County beginning today.
The event celebrates the legacy of Imperial Glass, which operated in Bellaire from 1901 until 1984. During its decades in operation, Imperial Glass became known for producing handmade glass pieces as well as mass-market tableware.
The convention runs convention from April 30 – May 3 with festivities kicking off today at the Imperial Museum in Bellaire. Convention activities on Friday and Saturday will be at the Ebberts Farm venue in St. Clairsville.
Collectors and enthusiasts from across the country are expected to attend the convention, which honors the company’s history and the continued popularity of its products.
