He’s no longer on the run…officers nab happy man who allegedly fled

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports they now have a man in custody who allegedly fled from officers over the weekend.

Daniel Merritt, 37, from the Pleasant Hill area, is in custody after being arrested. He allegedly from officers on foot from the Trac 6 gas station.

Merritt had several warrants for his arrest.

Officials confirmed Monday that Merritt had charges for domestic violence and probabtion violation.
