WEST VIRGINIA – A pair of local high school baseball teams made it to the West Virginia state championships this past weekend.
Wheeling Central became AA state champions with a 7-nothing shutout of Philip Barbour.
In the single-A game, Weirton Madonna came up short in a 10-7 loss in nine innings to East Hardy.
The River Network offers its congratulations to both teams for their outstanding seasons.
