WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. – Pennsylvania police believe a New Martinsville man and Powhatan Point woman along with another suspect committed a home invasion with homicide.

Michael Pyles of New Martinsville, has to answer charges of criminal homicide, robbery, and related offenses while Alexis Podlasiak, 29 years-old from Powhatan Point, also will
have to answer multiple charges in this home invasion case. Police also will charge a
third suspect in the homicide case, Walter Winland Jr.

Washington County Pennsylvania District Attorney Jason Walsh says his office believes a dispute regarding drugs and money led to the shooting death of Renee Gill, 37 years-
old at a home on Eleanor Street in Langeloth in June.

Wheeling police arrested Winland on June 20th. Belmont County law enforcement picked up Pyles and Podlasiak at a St. Clairsville area motel. Those two remain in the Belmont County Jail pending extradition.
