BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — Belco Works, a nonprofit organization that has served the Ohio Valley for more than 50 years, has officially expanded operations with a brand-new facility. The expansion is expected to increase production and add jobs.

Located at 66910 Pogue Road in St. Clairsville, the new building houses an upgraded shredding department that has tripled daily output.

Belco Works Document Destruction provides an economical way for businesses and individuals to dispose of unwanted records and excess paperwork. Confidential collection, shredding, and disposal of business and personal documents help safeguard sensitive information, prevent identity theft, and ensure compliance with federal regulations such as HIPAA. Locked security containers are provided at client locations to securely hold documents until they are picked up for destruction and recycling.

The expansion not only boosts efficiency but also furthers Belco Works’ mission of providing meaningful employment for individuals with developmental disabilities. The shredding facility plays a vital role in both local job creation and environmental sustainability, with shredded paper being sent to mills for recycling instead of ending up in landfills.

Belco Works is committed to preparing its employees for long-term employment, focusing on both technical training and essential workplace skills. The organization is currently hiring for the new location.
