OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. – The former head of the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, and former Wheeling Police Officer, has entered a guilty plea to federal charges he stole over $75,000 thousand dollars.

In court documents, David Drahos said he took the money from the task force’s “buy
bag” to support his gambling habit. He could face a fine of $250,000 thousand dollars along
with up to ten years in prison.

River News Network wishes to stress this David Drahos was employed by the Wheeling
Police Department but NOT by the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office. Drahos’s son is a
current deputy in that department.
