Water outage scheduled for Steubenville on Wednesday

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The City of Steubenville Water Department on Wednesday August 6th will be working to replace a main line valve at the intersection of Powell Avenue and Linduff Avenue.

This work will require a water outage for residents on Powell Avenue, 200 block of Linduff Avenue, McConnell Avenue, and the 2200 and 2300 blocks of Sunset Blvd on the Southside of Sunset Blvd. There will be a boil advisory in effect after completion of the valve replacement for all resident affected by the outage.

Work will begin at 7 a.m. Linduff Avenue will be closed to all traffic from Chestnut Street to Colonial Drive or Mount Calvary Cemetery entrance. Motorists are advised to travel alternate routes due to this road closure.

A notice lifting the boil advisory will be issued after samples are sent for analysis and they show no contamination has occurred during the outage. For any questions regarding this work please call the filtration plant at 740-283-6041.
