OHIO COUNTY, W.Va. – The Wheeling YMCA has the gear your kids need to start a great school year — and it’s all free through a second, spectacular backpack giveaway this Saturday, August 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event is made possible by the generosity of Richard Bazzy and his team at Shults Ford. The Wheeling YMCA will be handing out backpacks filled with school supplies. No registration is required, and it’s first come, first served.
In addition to the giveaway, there will be inflatables, clowns, balloons, face painting and treats. 100.5 WOMP-FM will be on hand from 10 a.m. to noon.
The Wheeling YMCA is located at 55 Lounez Avenue in Elm Grove.
