HARRISON COUNTY, Ohio — Law enforcement is asking residents in Harrison and Belmont counties to be on alert as the search continues for a missing 17-year-old from North Royalton, near Cleveland.
Connor Piepsny, 17, left his home on Wednesday, Aug. 13, around 6:40 p.m. in a black 2007 Toyota Camry with Ohio license plate KHA 5647. Authorities said he was believed to be alone and had a firearm and ammunition with him. While he made no direct threats of harm, officials said the behavior was highly unusual and out of character. He is an honors student and a boxer.
Piepsny’s vehicle was last seen near State Routes 18 and 94 in Medina County at about 7:05 p.m. His cellphone later pinged near U.S. 250 and U.S. 36 in Uhrichsville at approximately 8:25 p.m. The signal also registered in the Piedmont Lake area near Harrison and Belmont counties, though it is unclear if he remains in the region or was simply passing through.

He was last seen wearing a white and tan hoodie, black shorts, and white Nike shoes with a blue swoosh logo. His car may be identifiable by a set of miniature red boxing gloves hanging from the rearview mirror. Piepsny is described as 6 feet tall, 145 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Authorities caution the public not to approach him if spotted. Instead, call local law enforcement, 911 or contact the North Royalton Police Department at 440-237-8686.
The case has also been reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
