LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. — A former Belmont County emergency management official has been sentenced to prison in Virginia after pleading guilty to an online solicitation charge.

Glenn Trudo, 60, was sentenced this week to three years in prison for proposing sex by computer, according to Loudoun County Circuit Court officials. The judge suspended two years and five months of the sentence, leaving Trudo to serve seven months behind bars. He is already in custody in Virginia.

Trudo, who previously served as assistant deputy director for Belmont County Emergency Management Agency, was arrested in February after search warrants were executed at his home and office.

He later entered a guilty plea to a lesser charge as part of the case.
