Bellaire Man, 21, Killed in Motorcycle Crash; Juvenile Truck Driver, Elderly Passenger Injured

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio – A 21-year-old Bellaire, Ohio man died in a motorcycle crash in Shadyside Wednesday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol says Aiden Frazier was killed when his bike collided with a pickup truck at Shadyside North and East 34th Street at approximately 10:43 p.m. on Wednesday, August 27

A juvenile driver and a passenger in the truck, Eric. W. Gartner, age 73, of Shadyside, were transported by emergency medical services to West Virginia University Medicine-Wheeling Hospital, for non-lifethreatening injuries.

Troopers said a 2025 Kawasaki ZX6R motorcycle driven by Frazier was traveling north on Shadyside North at the intersection of East 34th Street when a southbound 1994 Ford Ranger driven by a juvenile attempted to make a left hand turn onto East 34th Street. The motorcycle and pickup truck collided within the vicinity of the intersection. The juvenile was operating the pick-up truck with a licensed adult passenger (Gartner) in the vehicle, troopers say.

Responding agencies assisting on scene were: OR&W EMS, The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office, Shadyside Police, Bradens A1 Towing, and Naylor Bros. Towing.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says additional details of the crash remain under investigation.
