BRIDGEPORT, Ohio — The Village of Bridgeport has issued a boil order effective immediately after a waterline break on Hall Street, officials announced Monday.
The initial break impacted Hall and Howard Streets, but crews were forced to shut down multiple areas across town as repairs progressed.
The boil order will remain in effect for at least 48 hours while crews work to restore service. Officials said the situation will be reassessed once testing is complete.
Residents are advised to boil water before drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth until further notice.
