WETZEL COUNTY, W.Va. — Drivers in Wetzel County should prepare for traffic changes as fiber optic installation gets underway later this week.

Beginning Thursday, September 18, 2025, County Route 9 (Sugar Run Road), County Route 9/1 (Robinson Ridge Road), and County Route 9/2 (Strosnider Hill Road), near Littleton, will be restricted to one lane.

The work is expected to continue through late October 2025. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers, but motorists are urged to slow down and expect minor delays when traveling in the area.

Officials note that the timeline for completion may be adjusted if inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances arise.
