MARTINS FERRY, Ohio — Police say two juveniles were taken into custody Sunday after allegedly stealing a vehicle in Martins Ferry and driving it across Ohio and West Virginia state lines to Washington, Pennsylvania.

On Sept. 28, Martins Ferry Police saw the juveniles attempting to enter unlocked vehicles. The juveniles did find one unlocked car with keys inside and allegedly drove off with it.

The vehicle’s owner reported it stolen just hours later. The car was located in Washington, Pennsylvania. Martins Ferry officers then coordinated with the Pennsylvania State Police, who assisted in recovering the vehicle.

The juveniles were taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses.
