WHEELING, W.Va. — One person has been arrested and charged following a stabbing Thursday morning on Wheeling Island.
The Wheeling Police and Fire departments responded to a home at 107 Ohio St. around 9:47 a.m. for a report of two people who had been stabbed during an apparent domestic dispute.
When officers arrived, they received a description of the suspect and quickly identified, located, and detained the individual nearby.
Deandra Dawn McCann, 61, of Wheeling, was arrested and charged with two counts of malicious wounding. She was arraigned by Ohio County Magistrate Kevin Stryker, who set bond at $3,000, and was taken to jail.
