WINTERSVILLE, Ohio — Dog walkers in Wintersville have a new reason to take a stroll with their furry friends this October. The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County is launching a unique StoryWalk at the Wintersville dog park, offering treats for pups who follow along.
The initiative features a storybook displayed along the park’s fence line. Walkers and their dogs can enjoy the reading as they stroll, and once the story is completed, canine companions can receive an edible treat from the Schiappa Library.
Library officials say the project is designed to encourage outdoor activity, promote reading, and give dogs—and their owners—a fun, interactive experience.
The StoryWalk for dogs will run throughout October, giving families and pet owners plenty of opportunities to participate.
