WHEELING, W.Va. — Speakers at the Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce’s annual Economic Outlook Conference Wednesday highlighted both the strengths and challenges facing Ohio County’s economy.
Officials noted that Ohio County has the highest per capita income in West Virginia, a point of pride for the region. At the same time, discussions focused on the difficulties local businesses face in attracting and retaining quality employees.
