JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ohio — A Dillonvale man who was set to stand trial this week for the brutal killing of his wife has instead pleaded guilty to her murder.
Joshua Gamble, 40, entered the plea Friday in Jefferson County Court, admitting to killing his wife, Tina Gamble, in August 2022.
Gamble had faced trial beginning Monday, but his guilty plea ended the proceedings. Judge Michelle Miller sentenced him to life in prison — the maximum allowed by law. Gamble will be eligible to apply for parole after serving 15 years.
Prosecutors say the crime scene showed signs of a violent attack in which Gamble hacked his wife to death inside their home.
