ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio – St. Clairsville police arrested a Wheeling man Wednesday evening after he allegedly arranged to meet a 14-year-old girl he had been communicating with on social media — only to discover he had been talking to an undercover officer.
Police say 33-year-old Gary Spence was taken into custody without incident. The investigation is ongoing, and prosecutors are expected to file formal charges after reviewing the evidence collected in the case.
