MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. — The West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday, November 1, 2025 along West Virginia Route 88 near the entrance to Sherrard Middle School.
The checkpoint will be active from 6:00 p.m. until midnight as part of an ongoing effort to reduce impaired driving and improve road safety across the state.
Drivers who wish to avoid the checkpoint may use West Virginia Route 2 as an alternate route.
State Police are reminding motorists to never operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, emphasizing that impaired driving endangers everyone on the road.
Authorities expressed appreciation for the public’s cooperation and continued support in keeping communities safe.
