Belmont County Tourism has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission to support tourism initiatives and economic development efforts in the area.
The funding is part of a larger grant program benefiting 30 counties across the state as part of the Appalachian Ohio initiative. The program is focused on strengthening local tourism opportunities while promoting the role tourism plays in long-term economic growth.
Officials say the investment will help enhance visitor experiences, support local attractions, and encourage increased travel to Appalachian Ohio communities, including Belmont County.
