GUERNSEY COUNTY, Ohio – Police have made an arrest in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in July 2025 in Quaker City.
According to the Guernsey County Sheriff’s Office, deputies have filed charges against Robert McFarland of Mount Pleasant. Investigators allege McFarland entered a Citizens National Bank branch, displayed a firearm, and demanded cash during the robbery.
Authorities say police work later tracked McFarland to Bridgeport, where he was taken into custody on December 19.
Investigators believe a second suspect may have assisted McFarland in the robbery. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing, and additional evidence is being gathered for possible presentation to a grand jury.
