MARSHALL COUNTY, W.Va. — A mine worker at American Consolidated Natural Resources’ Marshall County Mine was injured Tuesday afternoon and transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown for treatment.
Marshall County Emergency Management reports the call came in around 3:45 p.m. for a worker who was injured from the waist down. Initial reports indicate the 42-year-old worker was pinned while crews were attempting to move a piece of equipment.
Officials reported Tuesday night that the unidentified miner was hospitalized in stable condition. The incident remains under investigation.
