ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — St. Clairsville is dealing with massive snow accumulation after a late January storm dropped eight to 10 inches across the city.
City crews have worked nearly two weeks straight plowing and treating roads, but the continuous snow management has created a secondary problem. Repeated plowing has pushed snow toward sidewalks, and when business owners clear their walkways, large piles now line street edges and curbs.
City officials are reminding property owners they are responsible for clearing sidewalks along Main Street.
Parked cars buried in snow remain a challenge for clearing operations. With more snow forecast for Friday, the city is urging residents to move vehicles off streets when possible to allow proper clearing and prevent accidental damage during plowing operations.
