Wheeling Housing Task Force Given Direction by City Council

WHEELING, W.Va. — The Housing Development Task Force announced by Denny Magruder now has its initial framework following Tuesday’s regular meeting of Wheeling City Council.

During the meeting, the mayor outlined the structure of the ad-hoc committee, first introduced during his recent State of the City address. The task force will review all aspects of housing construction and development within the city.

Members are expected to assess city planning and regulatory processes, while also examining construction costs compared to realistic home sale prices. Work is scheduled to begin in March and conclude later this year with the release of a final report.
