West Virginia House Finance Committee Rejects Governor’s Tax Cut Plan

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Members of the West Virginia House of Delegates Finance Committee have rejected Governor Patrick Morrisey’s tax cut proposal, presenting an alternative plan that excludes the cuts.

Committee members told reporters the governor’s plan failed to address long-term financial concerns and did not account for automatic tax reductions triggered by economic growth.

The decision marks a significant setback for Morrisey, who has been advocating for the tax cuts as part of his economic agenda.
