Bellaire Teacher Charged with 10 Felony Counts in Child Sexual Abuse Material Investigation

BELLAIRE, Ohio — Shawn Mark Valloric, 49, a Bellaire High School teacher and coach who resides in Bellaire, has been arrested and charged with 10 counts of second-degree felony pandering obscenity involving a minor, according to Belmont County Sheriff James Zusack.

The arrest followed the execution of a search warrant Thursday, Feb. 26 at a residence on Rosser Avenue in Bellaire. The warrant was carried out by the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit in collaboration with the Bellaire Police Department.

Authorities say the warrant was issued after a tip from the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding the alleged distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material.

Valloric was booked into the Belmont County Jail. The investigation remains ongoing.

Officials said the Bellaire Local School District is fully cooperating with investigators.

Sheriff David Zusack is urging anyone with information or suspicious encounters involving Valloric to contact the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office. Detectives Steve Stan and Jordan Blumling can be reached at (740) 695-7933 ext. 122 or ext. 148.
