COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio – A 20-year-old man accused in the deaths of his pregnant girlfriend and her unborn child has waived his right to a speedy trial.
According to court records, Cameron Martin of East Liverpool waived the right during a Friday court hearing.
Martin is accused of striking his girlfriend, Stephanie Householder, 21, with a vehicle in July at Broadway Wharf in East Liverpool. Authorities said Householder, who was pregnant at the time, later died from her injuries along with the unborn child.
Martin’s trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 27 in Columbiana County.
