BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — The Belmont County Engineer’s Office is advising residents of upcoming temporary road closures as American Electric Power (AEP) conducts right-of-way tree trimming later this month.
According to officials, the work will take place March 19 through March 31 and will involve the use of a helicopter. As a result, both county and township roads may be briefly closed where crews are working.
Closures are expected to last no more than 15 minutes at a time, but motorists should be prepared for short delays and plan accordingly.
Roadways expected to be impacted include:
- County Road 46 (New Cut Road)
- County Road 44 (Winding Hill Road)
- State Route 147 (Key–Bellaire Road)
- County Road 42 (Fulton Hill Road)
- Township Road 304 (Trough Run Road)
- State Route 149 (possible closures)
- County Road 214 (High Ridge Road)
Drivers are urged to use caution in work zones and follow all posted signage and directions from crews.
Officials note that the schedule may change depending on weather or other conditions.
