ODOT Bridge Repair Project to Impact Traffic in Belmont County

0

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — A bridge repair project is set to begin Monday, March 23, in Dilles Bottom, with traffic impacts expected along State Route 7.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the project will focus on repairs to the State Route 872 overpass spanning SR 7.

Beginning March 23, one lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions on SR 7 for the duration of the project.

A full weekend closure is scheduled from March 27 through March 29, during which northbound SR 7 will be closed beneath the bridge. Motorists will be detoured by using the exit ramp for SR 872 toward Moundsville, West Virginia, and then immediately re-entering SR 7 via the northbound entrance ramp.

Officials say the SR 872 bridge over SR 7 will remain open to traffic throughout construction.

Drivers are urged to use caution and expect delays when traveling through the area.

The project is expected to be completed by July 31, 2026.
