Bethlehem Apostolic Temple Seeks Public Help for Easter Food Distribution

0

WHEELING, W.Va. — Bethlehem Apostolic Temple Bishop Darrell Cummings says this year’s Easter food distribution event is a step of faith — and a call for community support.

For the first time, the church has no main sponsor backing the annual event, leaving leadership to rely on credit cards and public donations to purchase food for those in need.

A “Stuff the Bus” donation drive will be held at Riesbeck’s in Elm Grove on Wednesday, April 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. The public is encouraged to donate non-perishable food items to help stock the distribution.

Bishop Cummings said he is nervous heading into this year’s event but remains committed to moving forward despite the financial uncertainty.
