BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — Kevin Flanagan is urging residents to report suspected squatting in vacant homes, warning that such cases will be prosecuted.
Flanagan said individuals who notice homeless persons or others occupying vacant properties without permission should contact their local law enforcement agencies.
His office will pursue charges against those found to be illegally occupying homes, emphasizing that property owners’ rights will be enforced.
