COLUMBIANA COUNTY, Ohio — Amanda Kiger entered a not guilty plea late last week in a Columbiana County courtroom to felony charges alleging misuse of charitable funds.

Prosecutors claim Kiger converted more than $150,000 in donations from the East Liverpool-based nonprofit River Valley Organizing for personal use. According to its Facebook page, River Valley Organizing is “a citizen-based community organization that works for a safer and cleaner Ohio River Valley.”

The case will proceed through the Columbiana County court system.
