BROOKE COUNTY, W.Va. — The pair accused of child neglect in the death of a one-month-old in Brooke County are now also facing felony animal abuse charges.
According to the Brooke County Prosecuting Attorney, 21-year-old Caleb Shane DiCapio and 20-year-old Hope Lynn Taylor kept four cats and two dogs in their Follansbee home.
A humane officer reported finding two pit bull mix dogs confined in crates, emaciated and covered in their own waste.
The additional charges come as the case surrounding the infant’s death continues.
