DILLONVALE, OHIO — The Village of Dillonvale is set to become a hub of patriotism this summer as it prepares to host Freedom Fest, a full-day community celebration honoring the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States.

The event will take place on Saturday, July 11th, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at Night Rider Park. Designed to unite the Ohio Valley, the festival promises an atmosphere of American pride featuring local cuisine, live entertainment, and a tribute to the nation’s history.

A Historic Milestone: The Semiquincentennial

Freedom Fest serves as a local cornerstone for a nationwide movement leading up to July 4, 2026. This date marks the Semiquincentennial—the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

Guided by the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, communities across the country are being encouraged to reflect on their local heritage. Dillonvale leaders are answering that call by creating a space where “hometown pride” meets national history.

Event Highlights and Attractions

Organizers have curated a diverse lineup of activities intended to engage attendees of all ages. Key features of the festival include:

  • Car & Bike Show: A showcase of classic and custom vehicles, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting local veterans.
  • Food Truck Festival: A wide array of regional flavors and culinary favorites.
  • Craft & Vendor Show: An opportunity for local artisans and small businesses to display their wares.
  • Live Entertainment: Family-friendly performances scheduled throughout the day on the main stage.

A Mission of Service

Beyond the festivities, Freedom Fest carries a deeper purpose: supporting those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. By earmarking funds from the Car & Bike Show for local veterans, the village aims to turn a day of celebration into a tangible benefit for its community heroes.

As the United States approaches two and a half centuries of independence, Dillonvale is ensuring the Ohio Valley remains a vibrant part of the national story. Residents and visitors alike are invited to Night Rider Park this July to be a part of this historic milestone.
