MOUNDSVILLE, W.Va. — Entrepreneurs with big ideas will take center stage later this month as the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce hosts its LaunchPad Business Entrepreneur Pitch Contest, an event designed to spotlight local innovation while giving attendees the chance to watch, vote, and support area startups.
The event is set for May 28, 2026, at Grand Vue Park, with doors opening at 5 p.m.
Organizers say the competition will give contestants the opportunity to pitch their business ideas in front of a live audience while competing for cash prizes, marketing support, mentorship, and added exposure.
The Chamber describes the event as a way to encourage entrepreneurship and celebrate local businesses with the theme: “Big Ideas. Local Impact. Bright Futures.”
This year’s featured contestants include:
- Living My Best Cigar Life
- Game Masters – Games and More
- Gracefully Gluten-Free
Guests attending the event will have the opportunity to watch the pitches, vote, and support contestants, while enjoying heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
Tickets are $25, with proceeds supporting the event and local business initiatives through the Marshall County Chamber of Commerce.
Organizers say the LaunchPad contest is aimed at helping entrepreneurs gain visibility while building excitement around business growth and innovation in Marshall County.
