STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – The chief of the Steubenville Police Department has requested the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation investigate an officer-involved shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in Steubenville.
Police say officers responded around 5 p.m. to the 900 block of Brady Avenue after receiving a report of a person with a firearm.
According to authorities, the individual ignored commands from officers, leading to the person being shot and killed.
As of early Tuesday morning, officials had not released the name of the person killed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
