WHEELING, W.Va. — The Wheeling Miners will have home-field advantage as they compete for the American Arena League championship later this month.

The Miners are set to face the Columbus Lions in the league championship game on Saturday, July 11, at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling.

The championship appearance follows a season in which the Miners overcame multiple schedule changes and narrowly missed an even stronger record, with two of their losses decided by a combined three points.

Tickets for the championship game are now on sale. Admission is available at $30, $20 and $10, with group ticket packages also being offered.

Team officials said each championship ticket will be valid for both games scheduled that day at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Each ticket barcode can be scanned twice, allowing fans to attend both contests.

Fans who purchased tickets for the Miners’ May 30 game can use those same tickets for the championship without exchanging them. Ticket holders from the May 23 game must exchange their tickets at the WesBanco Arena box office before game day.

The team also noted that playoff tickets will not be accepted for the championship.

The Wheeling Miners are encouraging fans from across the Ohio Valley to pack WesBanco Arena as the team competes for the American Arena League title on its home field.
