TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, Ohio — A 26-year-old Sugarcreek man died Sunday morning following a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Tuscarawas County.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 10:37 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, at the intersection of State Route 39 and County Road 77, also known as Prysi Road, in Sugar Creek Township.
Investigators said Marcus Miller was traveling west on State Route 39 on a 2011 Kawasaki EX250 motorcycle. At the same time, a 2016 Mazda CX-5 was traveling east and attempting to turn left onto County Road 77.
The motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Mazda before crossing the center line and colliding with the front of an eastbound 2023 Nissan Rogue.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said he was wearing a helmet and protective clothing at the time of the crash.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
