BRIDGEPORT, Ohio — Drivers traveling through the Bridgeport area should expect significant delays as ongoing bridge repair work continues on State Route 7 near the Interstate 470 interchange.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, State Route 7 southbound at the I-470 interchange is restricted to one lane while crews complete planned bridge repairs. The work is expected to continue through Aug. 20.
The lane restriction has resulted in heavy traffic backups, particularly around the Bridgeport exit, with motorists reporting slow-moving traffic during the daytime.
Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, reduce speeds through the construction zone, and consider alternate routes when possible.
