ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio — Olympic Tae Kwon Do Academy in St. Clairsville is honoring Charlie Kirk with a memorial display intended to focus on his Christian faith and legacy rather than his political work.

The academy displayed a large banner featuring Kirk outside its building, positioned between two American flags.

Along with the display, Olympic Tae Kwon Do Academy shared a message remembering Kirk and highlighted a statement attributed to him: “I want to be remembered for courage for my faith.”

The academy thanked Kirk for what it described as his willingness to boldly stand for his faith in God and inspire others to do the same.

The academy also made clear that the message behind the display was not intended to be political.

“This isn’t about politics. It’s about Charlie, Jesus, and the lasting impact of a life lived boldly for Christ,” the academy wrote.

Kirk was widely known for his conservative political activism and as the founder of Turning Point USA, but the St. Clairsville academy chose to center its remembrance specifically on his Christian faith.

The local tribute reflects the academy’s stated intention to recognize what it views as Kirk’s courage in publicly expressing his beliefs and the influence his faith had on others.
