BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio — A portion of State Route 149 was closed Wednesday morning after a semi-truck rolled onto its side near the Schlepp’s Family Restaurant area.
The crash was reported around 10:41 a.m. on Sept. 17. According to initial emergency radio traffic, the semi reportedly came off the interstate before overturning near the underpass.
Firefighters, EMS and law enforcement responded to the scene. First responders reported finding the semi on its side with the driver already out of the vehicle.
Crews also reported fluids leaking from the truck following the crash.
Route 149 was closed in the area while emergency personnel worked at the scene. Motorists traveling through the area should expect delays and use an alternate route until the roadway reopens.
No information was immediately available regarding injuries, what the semi was carrying or what caused the crash.
