BELLAIRE, Ohio — Belmont Savings Bank will celebrate its 140th anniversary today with a celebration beginning at 5 p.m. today, Tuesday, September 9, at Union Park in Bellaire at 340 34th Street.
The Bellaire Local Schools Band will headline a parade along with the Turn It Out Dance Academy. The celebration will feature something for everyone, including food, face painting, an obstacle course and bingo.
The evening continues with live music from Matt Van Fossen before festivities wrap up at 8 p.m.
Belmont Savings Bank was chartered in 1885, just 20 years after the Civil War ended. Since then, the bank has expanded to locations in Bellaire (its headquarters), Barnesville, St. Clairsville, and Powhatan Point.
