‘Active Threat’ Reported at St. Clairsville School, Police Say

ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio – St. Clairsville Police confirmed to River News that there was what they described as an “active threat” at the school late Tuesday morning.

According to police, a call came in around 11:50 a.m. reporting a threat written on a wall inside one of the school buildings. The Belmont County Sheriff’s Office assisted St. Clairsville Police in responding to the scene.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, the St. Clairsville Police Department said the incident remains under investigation.
