WHEELING, W.Va. – Authorities in Wheeling are investigating a report of gunfire that occurred within city limits on Sunday evening.
According to the Wheeling Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding shots fired near the intersection of 37th and Wood Streets in South Wheeling around 8 p.m. Upon arrival, officers searched the area but did not find any victims or injuries related to the incident.
Police have not released information regarding potential suspects or motives at this time. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine the circumstances surrounding the gunfire.
