Belmont County bar a total loss following massive fire

UPDATE: April 16, 2025; 4 p.m.

Scooter’s bar in Glencoe is a total loss following a massive fire Wednesday afternoon, according to an official from the Cumberland Trail Fire Department.

The official confirmed that the fire was extinguished with the help of several local fire departments and the Belmont County tanker task force.

The fire call came in at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The building was occupied. No one was injured.

The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.

The following fire departments responded to the scene:

  • Neffs
  • OR & W
  • Spirit of 76
  • Smith Township
  • Belmont County tanker task force

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio – The Cumberland Trail Fire Department confirmed that crews are battling a fire at 50101 Glencoe Stewartville Road in Glencoe.

The building on fire was known as Scooter’s Place, a restaurant/bar.

First responders are on scene as of 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.
