WHEELING, W.Va. — Two 16-year-old males were arrested by the Wheeling Police Department over the weekend in connection with an armed robbery reported Saturday afternoon.
According to police, around 3 p.m., two individuals arrived at the Wheeling Police headquarters to report they had been robbed at gunpoint. The victims told officers they met the suspects in Center Wheeling where the two males allegedly stole money and a cell phone while brandishing a firearm.
Following an investigation, officers located and arrested both suspects. Each has been charged with one count of robbery.
The juveniles were transported to the Ronald C. Mulholland Juvenile Center in Wheeling. Authorities said further charges could be filed as the investigation continues.
