WHEELING, W.Va. — It’s the fastest-selling concert ticket in L.A. and now you can see this phenomenal rock show from Jason Bonham, son of the late and legendary Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, at the Capitol Theatre on Wednesday, May 7.
The show, Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening, is a powerful homage to one of rock’s most iconic bands. This year’s tour marks a special milestone, the 50th anniversary of Physical Graffiti, Led Zeppelin’s 1975 double album that cemented the band’s place in music history. Bonham and his band will perform the album in its entirety.

In a recent local interview, Bonham shared his excitement about bringing the full album to Wheeling.
“’Physical Graffiti‘ is one of those records that has everything — raw energy, complexity, and the spirit of Zeppelin. It’s a thrill to honor it live.”

He added that while he is paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of Physical Graffiti, he is also giving fans the experience of hearing some of their other favorite Led Zeppelin songs at the show.
“we’re celebrating 50 years of ‘Physical Graffiti,’ which is probably my favorite Zeppelin album. It’s the first time we’ve done it like this—performing an entire album in full. We used to do a mix from all albums, but this time, we’re starting with ‘Physical Graffiti,’ then finishing with some classics like “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love,” and “Rock and Roll.” We’ve also been playing “Achilles Last Stand” from ‘Presence,’ which, I think, is one of the most underrated albums. That song’s been a blast to perform.”

Jason’s musical prowess was evident in childhood. By age five, Jason was already on his way to becoming a talented drummer, playing in his living room with his father and guests to the home like Jimmy Page and members of Bad Company. As a teenager, he developed a passion for dirt bike racing and almost turned pro before returning to his musical roots.
“I was around five years old, and it just became natural to play drums. My dad would put the jukebox on, and I’d just play. I don’t really remember any formal lessons—he never sat me down to teach.”

After John Bonham’s death in 1980, Jason began stepping into his father’s shoes. In 1988, he played drums at the first-ever Led Zeppelin reunion during Atlantic Records’ 40th Anniversary concert alongside Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones. That same year, he toured with Page and recorded the Outrider album.
In 1989, Jason formed his own band, Bonham, and released The Disregard of Timekeeping. The single “Wait for You” earned a gold record. The band released a follow-up, Mad Hatter, in 1992.
Jason’s musical journey has come full circle as he returns to his father’s legendary music.
