CADIZ, Ohio — The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office responded to 169 calls for service and filed 39 incident reports during the week of Aug. 11 through Aug. 18, according to the department’s latest activity log from Sheriff Mark Touville.
Deputies handled a wide range of cases, including thefts, traffic violations, welfare checks, domestic disturbances, and arrests.
- On Aug. 11, deputies investigated a theft on Tappan-Scio Road and later responded to an assault complaint on the Conotton Trail.
- On Aug. 12, deputies took multiple reports, including a stolen vehicle on Plum Run Road. That vehicle was later recovered, and Emily G. Gallagher was arrested for motor vehicle theft and tampering with evidence. Deputies also cited Trevor N. Troyer for speeding on Cadiz-Dennison Road.
- On Aug. 13, deputies performed a welfare check in Scio and issued citations in Freeport, including to Michael Gibbons for failing to use turn signals and a vehicle registration violation.
- On Aug. 14, deputies investigated a sexual assault complaint in Hopedale, a domestic disturbance in Freeport that resulted in disorderly conduct citations, and an unruly juvenile case in Harrisville that led to a juvenile being taken to Sargus Detention. Several traffic citations were also issued, including to Michael T. Kuczykowski II and Edwin Pantoja, with additional drug-related charges pending.
- On Aug. 15, deputies and Cadiz Police intervened in a case involving a person threatening self-harm on the U.S. 22/Route 9 overpass. The individual was safely apprehended and taken to the hospital for evaluation. Deputies also issued multiple citations, including to Justin Sears for a defective exhaust, Jose Daniel Rosillo Caldera for speeding, and Kyle Lillie for a seatbelt violation.
- On Aug. 16, deputies responded to Tappan Lake Park to help locate a lost juvenile, which was resolved without incident. Later that night, deputies arrested Danny Williams following an assault complaint in Jewett.
- On Aug. 17, deputies investigated a threats and harassment complaint in Scio and a child welfare matter on Moravian Trail Road.
