Belmont County woman lands in local jail following traffic stop

BEALLSVILLE, Ohio — A routine traffic stop in Beallsville led to the arrest of a Barnesville woman on drug charges, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies pulled over a vehicle on Sunday, August 24 for an equipment violation. During the stop, deputies conducted a search and recovered suspected methamphetamine.

The driver, identified as Jennifer R. Osborne, 41, of Barnesville, was taken into custody and is being held at the Monroe County Jail on drug possession charges.

Sheriff Derek Norman said the arrest reflects the department’s continued efforts to combat illegal drug activity in the county.

“Once again, if you’re involved in drug activity, Monroe County is not the place for you to come,” Norman said. “We will find you and you will go to jail.”
